We have two chapters to go. Not one as I said in the introduction. In Part II, Chapter IV, we find Winston gaining weight and slowly recovering from the abuses heaped upon him. He has become perfectly compliant and is ready and willing to be reeducated. But he knows, he is still not completely with the regime heart and soul.
And O’Brien knows that too. He asks Winston how he feels about Big Brother. Does he love him or hate him"?
“I hate him,” Winston says.
It is time for him to visit Room 101.
